East Providence maintains a strong showing in the financial services sector with local investment by several large financial services firms including significant investment in back office and customer service call center facilities for large banks that include Bank of America, Citizens Bank and Santander Bank. Thousands of jobs have been created by these banks as they located or expanded their existing facilities here in East Providence in recent years. In addition to these large back office facilities, the City has experienced significant investment in new bank and credit union branch office development including TD Bank, Washington Trust Bank, BankRI, Coastway Bank, Navigant Credit Union and Pawtucket Credit Union.
