About East Providence

East Providence, Rhode Island was incorporated as a Rhode Island town in 1862, after previously being part of the State of Massachusetts. East Providence later became a City in 1958. Today, East Providence exudes small town charm with all of the benefits of living in a safe, well maintained and emerging metropolitan suburban community.
